You can experience skiing on groomed tracks among gorgeous scenery, from fells to pine forests and riversides. The trails vary from easy to demanding. The trails are marked on a map with different colours based on the level of difficulty.

The ski trails start from the centre of Saariselkä, from the starting point of the Urho Kekkonen National Park trails near Santa’s Hotel Tunturi.

The ski slope looks like it does. Never walk or drive a car on a ski slope. It is dangerous to stop on the ski slope to take selfies, because another skier can come down the ski slope at high speed and you risk injury if you collide.

Don’t walk on the tracks!

You may not walk on the skiing trails, as they are for skiing only. It’s dangerous to stand or walk on the skiing trails, since you can be hit by a fast-moving skier.

The Aurorapolku trail is a good way to get into nature with no skis required.
