When arriving to your vacation in the north, ask the tour operation whether he or she has safety instructions to give you made for foreigners traveling in Lapland, Finland. These instructions are available free of charge for example in hotels and other accommodations.

These instructions, for example, advice on how to dress comfortably in the north. They will also help you if you plan on driving here in the north or hiking in the wild.

You can call this number for free if you need an ambulance, police or the fire brigade. When dialing 112, first tell the operator who you are and where you are calling from.
